(INTELLIHUB) — A Texas-based company that manufactures bump-stocks for rifles transferred an estimated 60,000 of the items to the federal government for destruction following a ban prompted by the October 1, 2017 Route 91 Harvest Music Festival massacre in which 59 people lost their lives after a reported lone gunman by the name of Stephen Paddock opened fire onto crowd goers from his 32nd-floor Mandalay Bay hotel suite on the night of October 1, 2017 using a rifle outfitted with a bump-stock.

Details of the massacre were widely reported by Intellihub founder and director Shepard Ambellas.
