New Jersey Oath Keepers: Billboard Report
New Jersey Oath Keepers Updating Billboard Activity
by Dennis LaGrua
Here is the press release that we did last fall that was sent out to 50 newspapers in the state. Only one, the Cape May Herald gave us press coverage and it was honest and favorable. Follow up to the other 49 extreme far left “News” publications, produced no replies. The press release just reiterates what is stated in OK literature.
NEW JERSEY OATH KEEPERS Press Release
Fall Outreach Program Begins
Billboard now being displayed outside McGuire-Dix joint base
For Immediate Release
NJ Oath Keepers has embarked on a billboard project to reach, teach and inspire our men and women in uniform to keep to their oath of enlistment. As an educational outreach group to military members and law enforcement personnel ,our mission is to foster a better understanding among those who serve of their obligation to respect the constitutional and civil rights of all Americans. The Joint base Dix/McGuire /Lakehurst Billboard will be the first of many which we plan to exhibit in the state of New Jersey.
Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and former serving Military members, Police, First Responders, Reservists, Security Officers, Fire Fighters and concerned citizens who pledge to fulfill the oath that they take to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” That oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and Oath Keepers declare that they will not obey unconstitutional orders, such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct unlawful searches, or to detain Americans as “enemy combatants” in violation of their right to a trial by jury.

The billboard was posted on Ft. Dix road in Pemberton, NJ about 1/4 mile from the main gate. It was a prime location stood there for 6 consecutive months until our donation funds were depleted. We are trying to refund the project and get it going again with a billboard on the McGuire A.F.B access road on the other side of the base. That AFB is also an active military facility and part of a base where 50,000 military members and civilians work. The recon on the billboard project was done by my friend Major Jim Rinier, US Army Reserve. He is a combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm, now teaches college and still visits the base every two weeks as part of the inactive reserve.
