Can someone explain Vermont to me?

So 178k people vote for Hillary and 95k voted for Trump. Johnson and Stein took about 17k between them.

Yet 166k people voted for a Republican to be Governor and the Democrat gets 138k votes?

Presidential vote totals just under 290k.

314k people voted in the governors race.

I know some people don’t vote for president but that just seems screwed up. That means a lot of Hillary supporters had to vote for a Male republican instead of a woman democrat? Really? Is Phil Scott gay or something?
