WASHINGTON D.C. (INTELLIHUB) — U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has been under the corporate media microscope since Feb. 9 when it was revealed by the Washington Post that the former general may have spoken with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak about the specific issue of “sanctions” in the latter part of Donald Trump’s run up to the presidency.

“Flynn’s communications with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were interpreted by some senior U.S. officials as an inappropriate and potentially illegal signal to the Kremlin that it could expect a reprieve from sanctions that were being imposed by the Obama administration in late December to punish Russia for its alleged interference in the 2016 election,” WaPo reported — which later spawned a subsequent shitstorm throughout the media.

During an interview, last Wednesday Flynn directly denied allegations and specifically said “no” on two occasions when he was asked if he had ever spoken to Kislyak about sanctions.

Then on Thursday, the media capitalized on Flynn’s back peddle when a spokesman for Flynn said that Flynn “had no recollection of discussing sanctions, he couldn’t be certain that the topic never came up.”

As a precaution, both the Trump Admin and the F.B.I. are further examining Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak. which could be causing unwanted static within the Trump Administration also leaving Flynn ‘treading on thin ice.’

All of this could be creating unwanted static within the Administration, possibly leaving Flynn ‘treading on thin ice.’

The sanctions on Russia currently remain in place.
